In my troubled past, I carry the painful scars of an abused child, whose innocence was cruelly taken away before I found refuge in a children's home. The memories of harsh words and relentless cruelty still haunt my dreams, playing like a tormenting song. At home, safety and love were distant strangers, replaced by fear and loneliness. The walls of my small room were my only refuge, a place to escape from the physical and emotional pain inflicted on me. Every day seemed endless, filled with uncertainty and dread. I learned to walk on tiptoes, trying not to provoke the anger that hid behind closed doors. But in my darkest moments, a glimmer of hope emerged when I was embraced by compassionate souls at the children's home. Slowly, the walls around my heart began to crumble as I realized that perhaps, there was a chance to heal and rebuild in the care and love they offered me. I'm deeply thankful to the children's home for rescuing me and giving me a chance to find a better life.
