Before finding safety in the children's home, I lived a deprived and miserable life on the streets. I scavenged for food in garbage bins and slept in abandoned buildings, exposed to the harsh elements and dangers of the city. I yearned for a place where I could find warmth, nourishment, and care, away from the hardships I faced as a homeless child.
