As a child, I was caught in the challenging life of scavenging for garbage and forced child labor. I often went hungry and suffered from malnourishment because there was no steady source of income. Nights were spent sleeping on the streets because I had no shelter to call my own. When I first came to our home, I was mischievous and attempted to run away several times. However, over time, I started to regain my strength and adapt to my new environment. I began to open up and become more friendly with others, slowly leaving behind the difficult past I had endured.
